Red Star Railways recently received a new model made by Oleg Voluznev of St. Petersburg: an old-time wooden snowplough.

The snowplough is fabricated from injection-molded plastic parts (not resin).  The snowplough “wings” fold out and retract in a prototypical manner.  Painting is as per the prototype, and the lettering was done by a watch factory!  The model is equipped with European-style couplings and metal wheelsets, and is not powered (nor is the prototype!).  Price per model is US$90.

Still in stock are a few models of Oleg Voluznev’s previous model, the AS1A railcar.

Like the snowplough, the AS1A is fabricated from injection-molded styrene parts.  It is painted and lettered prototypically, and it is powered.  Price per model US$85.
